Websites are updated and my name is changed!

Hi everyone!  Following the aftermath of the crazy busy wedding planning months, I’m starting to feel like a human…I mean businesswoman…again.  Stemmler Stein Equine, LLC is in full swing with me running under my new name, Jessica STEIN.  The lesson book is filling, the list of training horses is growing, and we have 24 (!!!!!!!!!!!) horses in the barn!  Yes, that’s right, please welcome our new boarders!

Jim and Ginny have also been super busy making lots of great improvements to the ranch itself.  We have a new campfire ring, some awesome fall decorations on the porch, a new wall in the indoor, AND…here’s the best part…WE GOT A NEW ROOF!  No more floods or leaks or wet stalls or moldy hay!  Yeah!!!  You have to come check out how much brighter it is in the indoor as well!

In the coming months please check back often for new clinics, group lesson programs, and the 2013 show, camp, and clinic schedule.  We’re looking into getting a bunch of high quality clinicians in for your educational benefit, as well as offering even better events than we did in the past.  Stay tuned!

Update on St. Judes Ride!

The annual Stemmler Stein Equine, LLC hosted event is back again! September 9, 3-7pm at Open Gate Ranch, 88 Arrow Rd, New Ringgold, PA.

The ride will be about 2 hours long at a walk. You can set your own pace of course! That’s part of the challenge! Prizes will be awarded for the person with Most Money Raised, Fastest Time, Slowest Time, and the Ideal Time. Other games may also be along the trail, like a Poker Run!

All riders are asked to start the course between 3 and 5 pm so that everyone will be back around 7pm for awards.

Please note that COGGINS ARE REQUIRED for this event. You MUST present coggins at registration. This is for the safety of our resident herd and all incoming horses. Thank-you!

We need volunteers and riders to make this event a success and to raise our goal of $6000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! Fundraising forms are outside the office. Sorry, but we do not have horses available to borrow for the ride, but we welcome anyone to fund raise anyway, bring your own horse, or volunteer! We will be having a bake sale with 100% of the proceeds to benefit St. Jude. Donations of baked goods are welcome!

We ask all participants to raise a minimum of $20 to participate. But any amount will be accepted!
Please see our Saddle-Up Website at https://waystohelp.stjude.org/sjVPortal/public/event/page/displayEventPage.do?eventId=318944&programId=752

Hope to see you there!

Horse Show Point Totals for Versatility Award

Hey guys!  I just picked up awesome trophies, ribbons, and other prizes for our year-end versatility award!  This award to to acknowledge someone who has proven they successfully capable of riding different styles by doing classes in all 3 of our series.  We will have both Champion and Reserve Champion trophies and awards.  So many of you are really close to winning these awards, but you need to qualify by entering in one show of each of our series (Open, Gymkana, and Dressage).  You still have 2 more shows, so check if your name is highlighted and come to the show of the series you are missing.  Trust me, you want to be in the running for these awards!

In the below point tally I highlighted those who have met qualification requirements in orange.  In yellow highlight are those who need to do 1 or 2 of the next two shows to qualify. Points were tabulated as 1 point for each person you placed higher than in each given class.

Show dates are August 31 for a Gymkana (Tiffany Marshman judge)  and September 16 (Patti Thompson “L” judge) for dressage.

Here’s the point count as of August 16: Points for 2012.
